Hi, I’m Michelle!

I am a graduate of Yale University and Imperial College London and am currently working on my Ph.D. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of California. For my Ph.D. I am a member of the United States Antarctic Program and look at the effects of climate change on humpback whale foraging behavior in the Western Antarctic Peninsula.

I know the value of a good test score more than most - I was a National Merit Finalist, and scored in the top 1% in the SAT, ACT, and GRE.  I was awarded a full ride to several universities as a result of my National Merit Finalist status, was accepted into several of the top universities in the world because of my SAT scores, and was able to switch from a Film Studies BA to a science PhD thanks in part to my GRE score.

I have spent the past eight years tutoring a whole range of students in these tests with top companies in Manhattan, London, and Los Angeles. By working for multiple elite companies, I have been fortunate enough to build a large tool kit encompassing all of the best strategies in the industry.

While I continue to work for tutoring companies, I also have grown my own business through word-of-mouth. I've found that it is a win-win situation for both parties, and my clients get the exact same services for a fraction of the price (the companies I have worked with charge $250-$500/hr for my services and all of them require packages). I commend you for looking at independent tutors! I think you’ll find that as long as you choose a reputable and experienced tutor, it can be a better option than going through a company.

In my spare time, Im a big fan of reading, riding horses, live music, and finding remote corners of the world to go trekking in.
